
Jazmine was a Philadelphia native was born and raised in the city. Pam the mother of Jazmine is an ex-backing singer with Philadelphia International Records. Her father offered her the position of curator of the Historic Strawberry Mansion. She and her family later were able to move into the historical iconic. In 2005, the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts graduated who is majoring in singing. Sullivan began singing in the school's chorus as a contralto, later she joined the adult choir only a couple of years later. Sullivan did not get exposed to secular music at first. "I started singing solos at church and a person wanted me to sign up for a gospel recording when I was 11. but I wasn't quite ready for it," she says. After that, McDonald's held a contest for kids in big cities. I was allowed to sing "Accept what God allows" at It's Showtime At the Apollo. And the people were very enthusiastic. Stevie Wonder sang her part during his 13th birthday celebration. Sullivan aged 15, was first signed to Jive Records. At the age of 15 she signed with Jive Records. She recorded an whole album at Jive Records, however it wasn't made available for release. Sullivan was eventually removed from the label. Missy Elliott was her producer for a few tracks from their debut album. Among them "Backstabbers" by Timbaland the track that Elliott wrote, is a highlight of their working relationship.
