Lucy Lawless has a long and distinguished career as an actress and musician in New Zealand. She's most popularly recognized in her field for her illustrious roles on various top-billed television films and series, including Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena as well as Spartacus: The Vengeance. Her name was often praised and admired most for her portrayal of Xena. Lucy was given the role initially planned for Vanessa Angel, but she couldn't attend due to illness.
